I believe that there is no La.11 in lieu of there being a US 11. It is quite a road. I've ridden it in both its new form and its former incarnation, listed in Mississippi as Old US 11. It is the highway that once crossed the Honey Island swamp in LA.
I traced it to Tuscaloosa, but it goes much farther. Looking for the old sections is a lot of fun.
