La Hwy 5

My notes on La.5:

La.5 isn't much on scenery. It does get you Keichi, a very historic little town.
Visit the old girl's college and see the Confederate Memorial Cemetery, plus several
very old homes. The area was bypassed by Huey Long's highway which has helped preserve it. The school was used as a hospital during and after the Battle of Mansfield.

Louisiana Highway 5 (LA 5) is a state highway in Louisiana. It spans 29.66 miles, serving De Soto Parish.

Route description

LA 5 begins in Logansport at an intersection with U.S. Route 84. LA 5 runs north-northeast through Longstreet before turning eastward at Keatchie.
